Walloon Lake

In the late 1800’s Walloon Lake Village was a destination that could be reached by train. Walloon Lake offered resorters crystal clear waters and a host of recreational opportunities. There were a few stores, a hotel; cottages were built and life was good. With the exodus of the trains, however, the progress slowed and business dwindled. No trains run to this tiny village any longer, but the crystal clear waters and recreational opportunities still beckon guests to a relaxed pace. In the last couple of years, the village has flourished and been transformed once again into a place that vacationers can’t wait to enjoy. Don’t be fooled by the size of the village. A blink of the eye and guests may miss it, but within that small area is a fun and trendy eatery, a fine dining restaurant (both with spectacular views of the lake), a general store, bakery, shops, hiking and snowmobile trails, and a luxury hotel. Welcome back to Walloon Lake Village.
